IELTS is an International English language testing System that can be used to work, study, and migrate to countries where English is the native language, such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, and the USA.
The IELTS exam certifies non-native English speakers' proficiency in using English as a Communicative Medium. For both the Academic and General Training tests, you can take the test either on a computer or paper. Both the computer test and the paper test have the same format, question types, time allocation, and content. The only difference is how you experience the test day.

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to help you work, study or migrate to a country where English is the native language. This includes countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and USA.
IELTS scores are trusted by organizations across the world. Your IELTS band scores decide the level of competence in the English language. It tells how much you understand English Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing. So, if you have scored 7 or more then you are marked as a good user.
An IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) is valid for two (2) years. How soon can a candidate resit the test? A candidate may resit the IELTS test at any time.
The IELTS exam requires a minimum age of 16 years. The IELTS exam is applicable to anybody over the age of 16, regardless of nationality or background. If the school requires IELTS scores for admission, an exception can be granted.
IELTS exam assesses the test-taker prowess in English in four essential language skills – Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. It is necessary to pursue work or profession in native English speaking countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States of America, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, etc.
You may take the IELTS test as many times as you like. You can use the result of the test you prefer. However, as the IELTS centre, we strongly recommend you do additional study before taking the test again. You can also improve your skills by using the IELTS Official Free Practice Materials and Preparation Book.
In India, both IELTS academic exam fee and IELTS general exam fee have the same prices, which is ₹15,500.
